50 Acts Of Kindness Initiative

When one of our Austin hotels first opened, we partnered with Keep Austin Beautiful. Since we were the 50th Home2 Suites in the world, we rolled out the 50 Acts Of Kindness Initiative on May 21st, 2014 with the idea of all the other Home2 Suites volunteering over 1000 total hours. Each hotel will invite guests to participate in a 50 Acts of Kindness event to extend the positive impact of Home2 Suites beyond the hotel walls; ranging from food drives and volunteering at homeless shelters, to building new homes with Habitat for Humanity.

Your2 Hands Program

We are grateful for the communities where we live and work. The Your2 Hands Program allows our hotel team members to select a local charity of their choice to support and help make a difference in ways that reach far outside hotel walls, engaging members of the community and guests, to make the biggest impact possible.

Clean The World Initiative

We participate in the industry’s largest soap recycling program to help communities in need. Clean The World recycles all discarded soap and amenity bottles and donates them to reduce hygiene-related illnesses for communities in need. Through the program, hotels’ partially-used soaps and amenities are shipped to Clean the World’s collection and recycling centers. There they are processed, re-manufactured into new soap bars and prepared for distribution to homeless shelters, community centers and medical facilities in impoverished communities around the world.

As of 2016, four million new bars of soap have been re-manufactured from the recycled soap. This process has also prevented more than 570 tons of waste going to landfills. In addition to supplying the soap, these organizations educate people about the importance of hygiene and hand washing.
